After downsizing and moving into a bungalow last year I wanted to extend to give a dining room and also to utilise a space between the bungalow and garage for a porch room. I was not unsure of exactly what or where the dining extension would be, nor did I have a clear idea of design. I was quite nervous and really needed some encouragement to see things through. I need not have worried because Stephen Sparkes of A1 Architecture gave me a lot of good advice and suggested a design that would best suit my needs and also suit the property. He hand held me through the whole process and provided all the design drawings and dealt with the full planning process for me in the minimum time possible. We were delighted with the plans for a new kitchen extension designed for us by Stephen Sparkes at A1 Architecture Ltd. The awkward shape of our existing property and irritating bearing walls meant that we had to plan our new layout extremely carefully. Stephen supported us through the whole process, ensuring that we understood the financial implications of our options before building; so that we were happy with what we achieved on the budget we had available to us. Stephen was polite, prompt, friendly and professional. He listened to what we were hoping to achieve; but gave us the benefit of his experience too to ensure that we truly maximised the potential of the space. Planning permission flew through, our builders had no difficulty in following the technical specification and we are thrilled with the outcome.
